It's metal yet soft and fits well. However, there are many disappointing aspects; I injured my finger on the protrusion for removing it. As I got used to it, the weakness in the length adjustment part became apparent, and even though I thought I adjusted it properly, the ring would widen, making me have to adjust it every time. It's unexpectedly short-lived.
